Children’s Church meets each Sunday at 8:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., during our 8:30 a.m. service. Each week the children are dismissed after the children’s sermon and attend an activity for the remainder of the worship service. These activities include:

Junior Church meets on the 1st and 5th Sundays of each month and is for grades Kindergarten – 5th. This is a time of learning more about Jesus. The kids participate in fun activities, lessons and games.

Kids Helping Kids workdays meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month. During this time the children work on service projects for Silver Rose Manor, Homestead and Highland Manor retirement centers. Each month the children make a small craft project or gift that we take to the residents.

Learning Our Scriptures meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month. During this time the children work on memorizing Scripture through games, crafts and music. Currently they are working on The Lord's Prayer, The 10 Commandments, John 3:16, and learning the names of the first five books of the Old Testament and the first four books of the New Testament.

Zebra Chimes meets on the 4th Sundays of each month. The children use choir chimes to learn favorite hymns that coincide with their lessons from Junior Church. They often will perform what they have learned at the end of the worship service.

Kids Helping Kids

Kids Helping Kids (…Helping One Child at a Time)

Meet 8:50 am – 9:30 am on the 2nd Sunday of each month. This ministry of our church focuses on children and their families in our community. It started with a small idea and a Sunday school class who decided to make wrapping paper to sell so they could buy one gift for a child at Christmas. From there it has blossomed into a force that is available to children in need in our community. Coats, shoes, school supplies and many other items are provided to children who cannot afford them. We have established a food and clothes closet for those in need throughout the year. We help at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter with meals and gifts.

Another expression of love by our kids is the making of little gifts and cards for the elderly.

The benefit is always two-fold. The children learn to give and provide help to our community. At the same time, we are able to provide much needed assistance to children and families. This gives those families first hand evidence there is a God who is alive and working through the children of our church.
