How We Serve — Local Community

Radio Program

For those people that are not able to be at church on Sunday, Epworth has a weekly radio broadcast that is aired at 11:30am on KVLV AM980.

Fallon Daily Bread

Each Monday and Thursday night organized groups of volunteers prepare and serve free meals to the hungry in our community.  Often the patrons are seniors or families just trying to stretch their monthly budget.  Others come for the companionship or because the live in circumstances that won’t allow for home cooking.  The only requirement to receive a meal is to show up.  Although Fallon Daily Bread is a ministry of Epworth, they receive support fro this work through donations of time, food, and money from many individuals, church groups, and service organizations in our community.  If you would like to volunteer please contact Kathy Fraker at 867-3095, she is the volunteer coordinator for Fallon Daily Bread.  Food donations are received by the church office during business hours of  9am to 2pm Monday through Friday.

Kids Helping Kids Assistance

Through the fund raising efforts of our Kids Helping Kids ministry group, we are able to provide assistance to individuals and families that are in need of just a little extra help.  KHK has a small food pantry that is stocked through donations. In addition, when funds are available we can help with school supplies, coats, shoes, shelter, and utility bills.  In December 2009, Kids Helping Kids was able to provide Christmas stockings and gifts for 50 children.  Volunteers to help keep our food pantry organized and to help with fund raising events are always needed.

Prayer Tree Program

Our members believe in the strength of prayer.  We have multiple ways for our congregation to pray for your needs.  Requests for prayer can be sent by Email to hithere148@charter.net or a phone call can be made to the church office 423-4714.  From there your prayer need will be prayed over by three different prayer teams.
